Yet another travel bucket list destination completed in 2020! This will likely be my last trip of the calendar year, but honestly, if I never travel again, this will have made all the bucket list brainstorming worth it. I’m thrilled to share with you that I got to spend a week in Paris, France, a place I’ve wanted to visit since I was a little kid. Somehow, it exceeded expectations – even the restaurants clearly designed for tourists were fantastic.
The best part about Parisian cuisine is the dining experience. It feels like Parisians who work in the service industry pay just as much attention to the experience, atmosphere, and service as they do the quality of food. As a result, the meal isn’t just a vehicle for shoving food into your face. It’s a time to sit and spend several hours with the people around you – and enjoy some delicious escargot in the meantime.
I’ll be posting some reviews of restaurants here in the next week or so. If you’re in Paris, especially over the holidays, I encourage you to check some of them out! It might be too cold for patio dining, but visiting an authentic café is worth it, regardless.
