Ingredients
Method
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
- Bowl 1: Seasoned flour
- Bowl 2: Flax egg mixture (ground flax + water, whisked)
- Bowl 3: Panko breadcrumbs mixed with nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, Italian herbs, and salt.
- Coat each jackfruit piece in flour, then dip into flax egg, and finally coat with seasoned panko.
- Place nuggets in air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring even spacing. Lightly spray with oil if desired.
- Air fry at 400°F for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
Ensure jackfruit is well-drained and patted dry for maximum crispiness. Experiment with different spice blends like Cajun, curry, or Old Bay for variety. Store cooked nuggets in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for longer shelf life. Adjust air fryer time depending on model; check for golden-brown color. Serve as snacks, appetizers, in sandwiches, or over salads.
