Prepare the Lychees: If using fresh lychees, peel and remove the seeds. If using canned, drain the lychees and save the juice.
Combine Ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, add dark rum, white rum, amaretto, Cointreau, lychee juice, lime juice, and a handful of ice. Optionally, add pineapple juice for an extra tropical kick.
Shake the Cocktail: Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until the mixture is well chilled and fully combined.
Serve the Cocktail: Strain the cocktail into a chilled glass filled with ice.
Garnish: Add a sprig of mint and a lime wedge on the rim of the glass. For an extra touch, skewer a lychee and place it on the edge of the glass.
Enjoy: Serve immediately and enjoy your tropical getaway in a glass!
- Ingredient Substitutes: If you can't find lychee juice, you can substitute it with lychee liqueur or simply use more of the juice from canned lychees.
- Alcohol-Free Option: For a mocktail version, replace the alcohol with sparkling water or tonic and add a bit of lychee syrup for sweetness.
